Hi Bookish People,

Every Monday I’m going to post about how I’m experimenting on myself, my business, and/or my creativity. I’ll pick something to focus on and I’ll update you later in the week. Of course, you can always check in on my daily progress in my Instagram stories @YourBookishBrand

This week I have less in the way of writing projects and more in the way of wrapping up loose ends. I’m planning on participating in a twitter pitch for agents next week so I’ll mostly be preparing myself for that. I also have some major work to get done for the fundraiser I’m helping to put together so my writing business will take a very temporary back seat.

What improvement can I make this week?

My goal is to post every day this week on my author account. I know this is low hanging fruit but I’ve been slacking on the weekends. I know what my barriers are to posting on Saturday and Sunday reliably and I’m hoping to set things up so that it’s not an issue.

My weekends are packed with volunteering, a D&D game, friends, and family obligations. I don’t always have time to shoot a good picture and since I’m trying to focus on quality there are some days I’d rather just not post at all. I would like to have a daily posting schedule so I’m trying something that I think will help me: I’ll be shooting a months worth of pictures this week so that I have attractive and relevant content every day of the week.

I’ll post more about how I plan on batching that content in another post and let you know what did and didn’t work out. I’m excited to take on a challenge like this. That many photographs sounds intimidating. I don’t consider myself a photographer so I’m going to cross my fingers and hope for the best. 🙂

How are you working to improve your business this week? I’d love to hear about it in the comments!

Happy Creating!
