Hey Bookish People,

The lovely weather and my approaching birthday has me thinking about how I can enjoy the beautiful months ahead. It also has me thinking about all the great photographs I’ll be able to take! Spring has been perfect for plenty of shots of blooming flowers and beautiful sunrises but summer comes with its own perks.

To get you thinking about what you might want to capture for your bookish Instagram account I wanted to compile a list of some picture ideas:

  • A picture of reading/writing outside
  • A new location from your travels
  • Poolside
  • A picture of the beach
  • Boats
  • Outdoor at a cafe or restaurant
  • Sunset
  • Your favorite summer drink
  • Out in nature (hiking/camping)
  • BBQ’s
  • Fresh fruit
  • Thriving plants
  • Ice cream treats
  • Fireworks
  • Fairs/carnivals/parades
  • Roadside attractions
  • Airports
  • Dog parks
  • Protests/political activism
  • Front porch/patio/balcony
  • Concerts
  • Sunglasses
  • Pride
  • Butterflies
  • What’s in your beach bag?
  • Sun bathing pets

Those are just some ideas to get you started. Use these prompts in whatever way they work for you. Bring a book to all the locations I mentioned for a fun photo or see how many places you can get writing done. Use items as props for your #bookstagram photos.

Whatever you do, enjoy the summer while it lasts!

Happy Creating!
